Reading your Garlic Herb Butter Roast Turkey recipe which I am going to try this year, my question is on step 1 roasting the turkey at 425 degrees for a 22lb turkey would I still cook it 45 minutes breast side down or should that cook time be longer because of it’s size? I see the recipe states to roast 45 min for a larger turkey over 14 lbs yet being more on the larger size at 22 lbs I was just questioning.

I am so excited to have found you and your recipes! Your strength and determination are genuinely inspiring to someone who has depression and anxiety is struggling through the pandemic in addition to so much change in the last 6 months. My oldest, 28, moved to her own place in August. My youngest, 19 y.o., went away to university in August. My middle, 20. y.o. (adopted from South Korea : ) ), is going away for her 2 last years of university in January. I’m so very proud of and so happy for my children; yet, the change is still difficult for me. I am a 56 y.o. single (divorced) woman who loves having her children around her. I’ve been divorced for almost 13 years.
The battle of trying to figure out what I am going to cook for my middle daughter and I is pretty much gone. In addition, when my son comes home for Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday!) and stays through mid-January, I am not worried about what to prepare for dinners! He is a picky one to cook for and with the beautiful varieties you offer, I am all set.
In addition, the portions calculate for even 1 person so I’ll be able to make some decent dinners for myself! I look forward to trying many of your recipes!

Hi Karina, I am one of those cooks that loves to scour the Internet for recipes. I usually find 2-3 similar recipes and come up with my own to fit my tastes. Well, I googled pork roast recipes and your Chrispy Carnitas caught my eye, I read the recipe and did not even consider finding any other similar recipes. I booked marked it and added the ingredients to my shopping list. Then I started seeing other recipes I wanted to try and bookmarked those. Finally I just stopped and booked marked your home page. Hi Karina. Your photos are being used by someone wherein they cropped the watermark. I do not personally know the person but a neighbour showed me the ad and noticed it is exactly the same as your picture. This neighbour bought a food dish and it is nowhere near the photo posted. Now we know why

First time browser. Your Slow cooker roast chicken recipe is currently cooking away in my crock pot. I’m having guests later and my house smells fantastic. We were introuduced to Cafe Delites by a friend who shared the Cream of Mushroom soup recipe. Since then we have tried many soup, chicken, shrimp and scallop recipes. My teens are well versed in looking up a recipe now to cook dinner for the family. One challenge that I have is the seafood selection is limited to salmon, shrimp and scallops. Do you have any tilapia or white fish recipes? These tend to be delicate or dry out easily. Would love to learn more.

Been trying some of the chicken recipes over the last couple of months from this web site ,and as I like to cook all my sauces from scratch I have enjoyed trying these sauces out and enjoyed .tonight I cooked the Balsamic Chicken Breast used my own home grown tomato’s selection of red and yellow cherry type I also added some chestnut mushrooms to the dish and some carrots and brockley spears , roast potatoes on the side .enjoyed excellent will definitely cook again washed it down with chilled Visionario Bianco Italian white excellent match.

My daughter in law went through the same journey as yourself however she didn’t have children at the time . After being given the all clear from the Hopkins Lymphoma 12 months later welcomed a little baby boy. He really is Gods gift and we all pray everyday a prayer of thankfulness for the wonderful blessings we have. They had a great texture and flavor — except they were way too salty! I know it’s only a half teaspoon but it’s a small recipe and it was too much for me. If I make it again I would try it with 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Hello from down under I love your recipes like all your other followers I’m looking for some risotto recipes any chance you could some of these up on your page.
I am looking for gluten free and dairy free recipes. I have learned by trial and error learned for dairy substitute when cooking and baking the best cheese is Follow Your Heart and for milk it is oat milk and they have an extra creamy which can be used as cream however don’t try to whip it. Well I haven’t tried whipping it maybe some cream of tartar. Earth Balance, soy free is a wonderful butter replacement and Country Crock plant butter sticks, avacado is mild and there is no strong flavor transfer.
Oat milk makes a wonderful ice cream. It is creamy and feels like indulgence.
Would you be able to customize some of your recipes for those of us that love your recipes but have restrictions.

For gluten-free, you simply use rice flour. For those who don’t do dairy, this site may not be the best option for you. It is the dairy that makes her recipes so delicious!

I just found your website. To me, this is one of the best sites for great recipes that I’ve used with beautifully photographed dishes. I like the banner of related recipes that appears at the top as well as the meal plans. I’m looking forward to preparing so many of these recipes. The only criticism I have is all of the advertisements that randomly pop up all over the page while I read the recipes. It’s quite annoying and I wonder if there is any way to reduce those or place them in one locations, so that they are not right in the middle of the recipe and pictures. I understand that the ads likely generate some revenue for you, but it really takes away from the experience of your otherwise beautiful and informational website. Just some hopefully constructive criticism.

I made your Feta Sun-dried Tomato Stuffed Chicken last night. I used breasts and not thigh (as I like the flavor better). I also slathered the sun-dried tomato pesto on the outside of the chicken once stuffed. It was a hit! I also served it with Skinny Pasta noodles. I made a sauce with some butter, the leftover juices from the chicken, a little bit of blue cheese crumbles I had, and the remainder of my feta and sun-dried tomato pesto with some heavy whipping cream to make a sauce. There were no leftovers. Served it with roasted cauliflower and whole garlic cloves that I roasted with the cauliflower and then squeezed out of peel, mashed and mixed into the cauliflower.
I was simply looking up chimichuri I haven’t done it in so long I could not remember parsley or cilantro – so I found you and was drawn in.I love your recipe , I love your story about your father.I am the kind of cook who always changes things , (lol) thinking we can improve it – however , I am going to follow your recipe to the T . In your Cream of Mushroom Soup recipe it calls for 2 bouillon cubes.My preferred brand would be Knorr’s but since I know all cubes are not the same strength, how can one be sure to use the correct amount?

Today I found your chicken Parmesan recipe and had a question. Before you bake you have a step to fry the chicken. Do you think I could fry the chicken ahead of time? Even a day ahead and then proceed with baking? I wonder if they’d need to bake a little longer to bring up the temp from being in the fridge..?

Made Honey Mustard Chicken & Potatoes today. OMG, I’ll toss out my other recipes using chicken thighs. I sliced the potatoes horizontally then into slices about 1/4 inch thick. Melted in my mouth. At 400 degrees for 43 minutes in my older oven, the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. Fantastic dish. Thanks for sharing.

I love most of your recipes! I print them out for future use and have never been disappointed! However, I enjoy the information you give with hints before we get to the recipe. How can I print that out too? You give valuable information that I never remember when I’m making that recipe. Can you make that portion able to print out too?
I made one of those gloppy blender versions of chimichurri. Had my doubts about it because I’ve been in Argentina and Uruguay and had plenty of the real thing. I remembered it looking like your pictures, NOT a puree. But it’s been awhile since I was there (2003) so I thought maybe I forgot. Since every recipe I found used a blender or food processor, I figured that was the way to go. Well, after a few unsatisfying bites, the way to go was – into the trash!
So now I searched for “Argentine Chimichurri” – and up popped your recipe. I haven’t made it yet, but doesn’t matter. I KNOW I’ve found the real deal. I look forward to making it. Muchisimas gracias!

Just wanted to let you know the French Dip recipe is by far one of the easiest and most delicious recipes ever. I will never pay $15 a plate for a restaurant version again because none will be better than what I ate this weekend. And then to be able to cook it in a slow cooker on top of that, just made my day. I am definitely trying other recipes.

When in the year do your meal plans start? I thought it would be in January which would make this week 33 but it starts with pumpkin soup. Pumpkins in the UK are not plentiful until October/November. I apologise if it says somewhere that I have not seen when the start is.

OMG! Best crockpot pot roast ever! Competes with a great beef bourguignon any day. I know Russets can’t compete with Yukon Golds but put in last four hours and still amazing.

I love to order lamb when I go out, though have never cooked it before. For Father’s day, I am going to cook for the love of my life and his sons. He is a more confident cook than I but, I am going to try to make your Braised Lamb Shanks and serve with rice. I dreamt of using cucumber, olives, feta cheese, bell pepper, and tomato in a pasta dish for lunch or dinner. Other sites popped up with recipes but yours looked like just what I had dreamed up…giggle…So thank you for developing recipes that I can adapt to my dreams. …Giggle…hope that you don’t think me too weird! LOL! Usually when I dream up something, I can come up with a recipe on my own, it’s successful, and I stash it in my online recipe book. I grew up in New Orleans, so I have a pretty good background in many cultural cooking traditions. Unfortunately, Mediterranean, Greek,, etc. escape my experience. i don’t know if you have this already or if you have already thought about it but you should make your blog sorta like a shopping page. People can log on and have like a “wish list” of the foods that they want to make so they can save their recipes. i don’t know, just a thought!

Reading your Garlic Herb Butter Roast Turkey recipe which I am going to try this year, my question is on step 1 roasting the turkey at 425 degrees for a 22lb turkey would I still cook it 45 minutes breast side down or should that cook time be longer because of it’s size? I see the recipe states to roast 45 min for a larger turkey over 14 lbs yet being more on the larger size at 22 lbs I was just questioning.

I am so excited to have found you and your recipes! Your strength and determination are genuinely inspiring to someone who has depression and anxiety is struggling through the pandemic in addition to so much change in the last 6 months. My oldest, 28, moved to her own place in August. My youngest, 19 y.o., went away to university in August. My middle, 20. y.o. (adopted from South Korea : ) ), is going away for her 2 last years of university in January. I’m so very proud of and so happy for my children; yet, the change is still difficult for me. I am a 56 y.o. single (divorced) woman who loves having her children around her. I’ve been divorced for almost 13 years.
The battle of trying to figure out what I am going to cook for my middle daughter and I is pretty much gone. In addition, when my son comes home for Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday!) and stays through mid-January, I am not worried about what to prepare for dinners! He is a picky one to cook for and with the beautiful varieties you offer, I am all set.
In addition, the portions calculate for even 1 person so I’ll be able to make some decent dinners for myself! I look forward to trying many of your recipes!

Hi Karina, I am one of those cooks that loves to scour the Internet for recipes. I usually find 2-3 similar recipes and come up with my own to fit my tastes. Well, I googled pork roast recipes and your Chrispy Carnitas caught my eye, I read the recipe and did not even consider finding any other similar recipes. I booked marked it and added the ingredients to my shopping list. Then I started seeing other recipes I wanted to try and bookmarked those. Finally I just stopped and booked marked your home page. We were introuduced to Cafe Delites by a friend who shared the Cream of Mushroom soup recipe. Since then we have tried many soup, chicken, shrimp and scallop recipes. My teens are well versed in looking up a recipe now to cook dinner for the family. One challenge that I have is the seafood selection is limited to salmon, shrimp and scallops. Do you have any tilapia or white fish recipes? These tend to be delicate or dry out easily. Would love to learn more.

They had a great texture and flavor — except they were way too salty! I know it’s only a half teaspoon but it’s a small recipe and it was too much for me. If I make it again I would try it with 1/4 teaspoon salt.

I am looking for gluten free and dairy free recipes. I have learned by trial and error learned for dairy substitute when cooking and baking the best cheese is Follow Your Heart and for milk it is oat milk and they have an extra creamy which can be used as cream however don’t try to whip it. Well I haven’t tried whipping it maybe some cream of tartar. Earth Balance, soy free is a wonderful butter replacement and Country Crock plant butter sticks, avacado is mild and there is no strong flavor transfer.
Oat milk makes a wonderful ice cream. It is creamy and feels like indulgence.
Would you be able to customize some of your recipes for those of us that love your recipes but have restrictions.

I just found your website. To me, this is one of the best sites for great recipes that I’ve used with beautifully photographed dishes. I like the banner of related recipes that appears at the top as well as the meal plans. I’m looking forward to preparing so many of these recipes. The only criticism I have is all of the advertisements that randomly pop up all over the page while I read the recipes. It’s quite annoying and I wonder if there is any way to reduce those or place them in one locations, so that they are not right in the middle of the recipe and pictures. I understand that the ads likely generate some revenue for you, but it really takes away from the experience of your otherwise beautiful and informational website. I made your Feta Sun-dried Tomato Stuffed Chicken last night. I used breasts and not thigh (as I like the flavor better). I also slathered the sun-dried tomato pesto on the outside of the chicken once stuffed. It was a hit! I also served it with Skinny Pasta noodles. I made a sauce with some butter, the leftover juices from the chicken, a little bit of blue cheese crumbles I had, and the remainder of my feta and sun-dried tomato pesto with some heavy whipping cream to make a sauce. There were no leftovers. Served it with roasted cauliflower and whole garlic cloves that I roasted with the cauliflower and then squeezed out of peel, mashed and mixed into the cauliflower.

Made Honey Mustard Chicken & Potatoes today. OMG, I’ll toss out my other recipes using chicken thighs. I sliced the potatoes horizontally then into slices about 1/4 inch thick. Melted in my mouth. At 400 degrees for 43 minutes in my older oven, the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. Fantastic dish. Thanks for sharing.

I made one of those gloppy blender versions of chimichurri. Had my doubts about it because I’ve been in Argentina and Uruguay and had plenty of the real thing. I remembered it looking like your pictures, NOT a puree. But it’s been awhile since I was there (2003) so I thought maybe I forgot. Since every recipe I found used a blender or food processor, I figured that was the way to go. Well, after a few unsatisfying bites, the way to go was – into the trash!
So now I searched for “Argentine Chimichurri” – and up popped your recipe. I haven’t made it yet, but doesn’t matter. I KNOW I’ve found the real deal. I look forward to making it. Muchisimas gracias!

My boys (hard-working young adults), were complaining “chicken, chicken, chicken, can we have something new please, like steak”. My remark to them as any exasperated mom would retort, “you think money grows on trees”. Well, came across your sight when surfing for a new handle and lock for the shop. Out of curiosity I did the click thing, this has got to be some sort of a joke. Well I be, surprise, surprise. “What an interesting site.” Spent hours watching you cook up those magical dishes. It’s been about 3 months perhaps a bit more and I have tried almost everyone of your chicken recipes, between the fish, prime rib, ribs and let’s not forget those savory veggies. I want to thank you so much for solving the boy’s complaints. Every thing I’ve made so far has turned out scrumptious, beautiful, and my young men asking for more. I have to say that you are amazing! I kinda, sorta, dream (literally) recipes and try to figure out how to make them. Like you, I want to prepare healthy meals. Anyway, I work the internet to find healthy ways to prepare the meals that I ‘dream.’ Earlier this week, I dreamt of making a Mediterranean-style pasta dish (evidence of my surfing to find healthy recipes). I dreamt of using cucumber, olives, feta cheese, bell pepper, and tomato in a pasta dish for lunch or dinner. With everything that I came up with in my head said that I was missing something so I hit the internet! Voila! Up popped your recipe for Lemon Herb Mediterranean Pasta Salad. Other sites popped up with recipes but yours looked like just what I had dreamed up…giggle…So thank you for developing recipes that I can adapt to my dreams. …Giggle…hope that you don’t think me too weird! LOL! Usually when I dream up something, I can come up with a recipe on my own, it’s successful, and I stash it in my online recipe book. I grew up in New Orleans, so I have a pretty good background in many cultural cooking traditions. Unfortunately, Mediterranean, Greek,, etc. escape my experience. Soooo…. you are supplementing my education and I thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don’t know if you have this already or if you have already thought about it but you should make your blog sorta like a shopping page. People can log on and have like a “wish list” of the foods that they want to make so they can save their recipes. i don’t know, just a thought!
